Biography

With a medical degree in Italy, Rome, at The Catholic University of Holy Heart in 1987, and after having completed two resident program in General Surgery and Thoracic Surgery, Ferdinando Agresta served as consultant surgeon in the Community Hospital of Vittorio Veneto (TV) Italy and in Padua (Italy) and since 2011 he is the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Community Hospital of Adria (RO), Italy. His main field of interest is laparoscopy, above all the laparoscopic approach in the emergency situations. He has been the promoter and Chief of the Scientific Committee of several Consensus Conference on Laparoscopy and emergency, laparoscopy and incisional/ventral hernia, Laparoscopy and Appendectomy and Laparoscopy and cholecystectomy,. He is authors of more than 100 articles and editor of two books
